Letter from the WAFT Chair

Thank you for your interest in the Women and Family Ministries Track (WAFT) of the AGRM. The WAFT organization is made up of men and women who have the desire to minister to the women and families in our ministries more effectively. We seek out best practices and share our learning via a mid-year conference, participation in the annual AGRM National Conference and by utilizing our email discussion list and quarterly newsletter to share news and information that can impact our ministries. As an organization, we believe that we are stronger working together and strive to find ways to help missions connect for shared learning, encouragement and mentoring.

Our 2008 Midyear Conference ‘Standing in the Gap’ will be held February 6 through 9 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, MO. WAFT Vice Chair Paulette Moore is already hard at work facilitating the planning process. The conference will feature 4 tracks; Leadership, Case Managers, Programming for Singles (Unaccompanied Women) and Families and a Specialty Track featuring mental health, recovery and addictions. More information and a registration form for this conference will be available soon.

Please let me know if you have any questions concerning WAFT or if I can help you find information on Women and Family Ministries. May the Lord richly bless you as you serve His people.

Diana
