Ministry Survey - AGRM conducted the survey to
provide a better understanding of the background and family history of homeless clients
served by mission family shelters. More than 60 missions, and 1,325
clients, participated in the survey.

Survey results: 1989 - 1998 - Since 1989, the
Association of Gospel Rescue Missions has surveyed over 100 rescue missions that make are
part of it's US membership on the third Friday of October. Conducted in order to
determine the demographic makeup of the people they serve, the statistics presented below
reveal some important trends in the problem of homeless in the United States.

AGRM's
Gambling & Homelessness Study - A survey of 1,100 homeless people shows that
gambling is a cause of homelessness.
- 1997 Snapshot Survey
(Fall 1997) - This survey of more than 15,000 homeless men, women and children revealed
that 20 percent of the homeless checking into America's Rescue Missions have become
homeless because of the loss of government benefits in the past year.
