Jacksonville, Florida: Executive Director—Jacksonville’s City Rescue Mission is looking for an executive director to oversee its homeless shelter, addiction counseling program, and thrift store. Because the mission is a faith-based ministry with no government funding, raising support for the mission will be a key responsibility in addition to overseeing the entire operation. The abilities to represent the mission and present its ministry and experience with rescue missions are essential. Ventura County, California: Rescue Mission Director—Rescue Mission Alliance, a faith based non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced and motivated director for the Ventura County Rescue Mission ministries to homeless men, women, and children. Responsibilities include program organization, vision, growth, planning, budgeting, staff recruiting and development, and improving recovery program outcome measures. The director will model commitment to the ministry of fundraising and lead community and church relations. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years management/ministry experience required. Successful candidate must be a mature Christian with exemplary character and proven leadership skills. Strong communication, administration, and problem solving skills required. Everett, Washington: Men’s Mission Program Manager
—Qualified candidate possesses a strong biblical worldview in order to develop and implement a comprehensive program designed to assist individuals into community re-integration and spiritual growth. Must have a BA and five years related experience. Responsibilities include oversight of the Discipleship and Jobs for Life Programs and Case Management staff. Experience includes the ability to teach the Bible, an understanding of chemical dependency, mental health issues, and accessing community resources, as well as working with individuals in poverty. The City Mission is looking for an experienced and dynamic fund development professional. This person will lead a staff of three full-time specialists and be responsible to raise more than $5 million a year through private donations.
