Colorado Springs, Colo. (March 1, 2010) – The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM) opens its doors at a new office in north Colorado Springs today. Previously based in North Kansas City, Mo., the organization, which gives leadership to hundreds of ministries throughout North America that serve the destitute and displaced, moved twice last year while awaiting a more permanent location.

“We are glad to finally have a more permanent base in this terrific town,” said AGRM President John Ashmen. “We look forward to contributing to the community as we continue to fulfill our mission to our members who serve hopeless, hurting individuals.”

The 2,580-square-foot headquarters at 7222 Commerce Center Drive, Suite 120, allows the seven staff more room to work effectively; the association’s previous temporary space in downtown Colorado Springs was approximately 600 square feet. The north side of Colorado Springs is home to several other Christian associations, including Association of Christian Schools International, CBA (formerly Christian Booksellers Association) and Christian Camp and Conference Association.

Founded in 1913, AGRM represents about 275 rescue missions in major metropolitan areas in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. AGRM exists to proclaim the passion of Jesus toward the hungry, homeless, abused and addicted; and to accelerate quality and effectiveness in member missions.
