New AGRM PR executive appointed

Colorado Springs, CO (August 13, 2009) - The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM), has appointed Nicole Daniels as its national director of public relations. AGRM is the national voice for workers in the trenches of the fight against poverty and homelessness. It serves about 270 national nonprofit organizations.

Daniels will be responsible for all marketing, communications and public relations activities at the national AGRM office in Colorado Springs.  She will also coordinate and encourage various public relations and communications initiatives for all AGRM members.

“Nicole is well suited for this position. I’ve never been more excited about the future than I am now,” said AGRM President John Ashmen. “Most importantly, Nicole is a follower of Jesus and has grown up in rescue mission work. Her father is currently an AGRM district officer.  Nicole knows rescue missions.”

Daniels, a graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Mich., interned with Hanon McKendry, a national marketing agency.  Founder Bill McKendry said that Nicole is a “true rising star” and “possesses skills and talents that are hard to find even in the most seasoned employees.”

Daniels said, “This is a great opportunity to bring my faith to my occupation and to grow both professionally and personally. I’m eager to bring value to our members by building national recognition for the good work being done across the country by our dedicated members.”

To arrange a personal interview with Daniels or for more information about AGRM, call (719) 443-7711 or email ndaniels@agrm.org.

Founded in 1913, Colorado Springs-based AGRM represents about 270 rescue missions in communities across North America. AGRM exists to proclaim the passion of Jesus toward the hungry, homeless, abused and addicted; and to accelerate quality and effectiveness in member missions.
