History

Gospel rescue missions have a long history of providing lifelines for those drowning in the waves of adversity and the undertow of addiction. For more than a century, they have been keeping watch on the waterfront of despair, and countless men, women, and children have been saved in every sense of the word.

And for nearly a century, one group has been tracking with the tragic conditions of the desperate and disenfranchised in North America. The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM) has been on the sidewalks and in the face of what to many has been a faceless problem. (Learn about AGRM's mission and vision.) AGRM-member facilities have a reputation for being havens of hope for all who enter.
