Presenters: Jay Cory, Director of The Potter’s House, Kevin Montford, Potter’s House, Program Director, Dean Stringer, Potter’s House Industrial Manager, Donna Ellis, Thrift, Ministry Director, Jeff Hallford, Thrift Ministry Operations Manager. All are from Atlanta Union Mission.- This seminar will provide an overview of how to successfully integrate residential recovery programs with industry to provide vocational development opportunities for clients and added mission revenue. A tour of The Potter’s House Industrial Complex and one of the six thrift stores will be provided.

Sacred Scraps and Lord of the Leftovers: Encouraging Women to Understand Their Worth in the Lord sponsored by the Women and Family Track (WAFT)

Presenter: Jan Carlberg, Author, Speaker, Wenham, MA As those serving women and families, we deal with women who feel like they are just leftovers, just scraps and can sometimes feel that way ourselves. Jan will use wit and wisdom as she reminds us that even in our weariness and at those times we have nothing left to give, we are sacred scraps, precious to our Father . With scripture references, personal stories and lots of examples, Jan will encourage us that the ‘Lord of the Leftovers’ is there for us even when we feel used up. Jan will fill your cup, have you laughing and ready to share the joy of being a sacred scrap!
