The Sock Drive campaign, inspired by Walt Disney Picture’s new family movie, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, releasing in theaters on August 15, will provide sock drive boxes to theaters, churches, ministries, and businesses for the collection of new men's, women's, and children's socks from July 9, 2012, through September 3, 2012, for the benefit of those served by AGRM ministries.

Through a large-scale publicity and promotional push, AGRM, Walt Disney Pictures, Different Drummer, and other ministry partners will ask individuals across North America to donate socks to gospel rescue missions for the homeless and those in need. In addition, the Hanes Corporation has pledged to contribute a generous amount of socks in support of the initiative. An online search directory will be available for individuals to locate the nearest sock drive box in their communities. AGRM ministries will facilitate this campaign by distributing the sock boxes to community partners and picking up the donated socks September 4-7, 2012.

To get started, please review the steps below. Sock boxes are provided free of charge and will be shipped directly to your organization while supplies last. The actual size, each side, is 17.3125"w x 32"h. There is no deadline for registration, but there is a limited supply of sock boxes for order. If only ordering one sock drive box, please complete steps 2 and 5 below.

If you want to participate, here's how:

Step 1. Reach out to local businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations in your community to
partner with you in this campaign by having a sock drive box at their locations.

for the online search directory and email it back to ndaniels@agrm.org.
