The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (formerly International Union of Gospel Missions) provides materials, training and assistance to ministries and individuals working with people in crisis in urban areas around the world.

Professional Association

When you become a member of the AGRM, you are joining a nationally recognized association of Rescue ministry professionals.

• Complimentary Copy of the AGRM Membership Directory - This comprehensive resource guide features each member organization and its program services, plus a listing of the Individual and Business members of the AGRM.
• E-mail Discussion List & Internet Chat Rooms - A service that facilitates networking among other professionals in your area.

Annual AGRM Convention

Members gather together each spring for a time of fellowship, inspiration, information and training with urban workers from all over the world.

• Registration Discount - A significant discount for registration is offered to individual members and those who work for member organizations.
• Seminars and Sessions - Each year, over 70 seminars and general sessions are offered at the convention for training in specific areas.
• Pre-Convention Super Seminars - Prior to the convention, association training tracks present comprehensive training seminars, specifically geared to the Track's emphasis.

Education

• Rescue College - Members can now earn college credits while working on-site at a member Rescue mission. The courses are offered via the Internet and can lead to an Associate or Bachelor of Rescue Ministry degree.
• Specialized Training - Throughout the year, several opportunities are offered for the purpose of training, fellowship and encouragement. These include Regional Conferences, District Meetings, Track Conferences, and Training Schools.

Publications/Resources

• Complimentary Subscription to "RESCUE Magazine" - Bi-monthly publication with interesting and informative articles that speak to the everyday needs of association members.
• Complimentary Subscription to "RESCUE Happenings" - The association's monthly newsletter featuring prayer requests, news of individual and ministry members, classified ads, upcoming meetings and events of interest to members.
• Special Discount on Books, Tapes and Other Resources - A wide selection of books, tapes, and other helpful materials relating to Rescue ministry is available at a member discount of 10%-20%.
• Evangelical Christian Credit Union - ECCU offers interest bearing checking and savings accounts, VISA cards, and low interest loans.
• Employment Referral & Placement Assistance - The association office links people seeking positions with Rescue ministries with current staffing needs. Classified ads in Happenings and on the web site are available, along with a referral and resume file maintained by the association.

Tracks

These special fellowship groups for people involved in similar ministries offer pre-convention seminars at the Annual Convention, regular mailings, consultations and special meetings that focus on training and the sharing of ideas and resources.

• Association of Christian Thrift Stores (ACTS) brings together people involved in thrift stores and similar operations for training and fellowship.
• Chaplains Track - A focus group within the AGRM especially for those interested in the relevance and role of Chaplains to the homeless.
• Christian Addiction Rehabilitation Association (CARA) is for individuals working in ministries that operate recovery programs for alcoholics and drug addicts.
• Development Track - A group for people who work in the field of fund raising, media relations and community relations.
• Education and Employment Track - For individuals working in training, education and job placement/readiness programs at rescue missions.
• Urban Children and Youth Ministries - A group for those who work with urban/disadvantaged children and youth. Recruitment of short-term workers is done through the annual publication of the Summer Urban Ministry Opportunities Directory.
• Women & Family Ministry Track (WAFT) - For all workers involved in ministry to women and the rebuilding of families.
